Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and OathCoach (“OathCoach”, “we”, “us”) for the OathCoach app, our server and this website (together, the “service”). By using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
Not legal advice
OathCoach helps you study for the civics part of the U.S. naturalization test. OathCoach is not affiliated with USCIS or the U.S. government. We are not a law firm, nothing in the service is legal advice, and using it does not create any attorney–client relationship.
Test questions, answers and elected officials can change. We base our content on official USCIS material and official government sources and review it regularly, but your official notices and uscis.gov always take priority. Practice scores and readiness estimates are guidance only, not a promise that you will pass.
Your account
You can use most of the app as a guest. If you create an account, keep your sign-in method secure and give us a valid email address. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@oathcoach.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Premium and payments
OathCoach is free to download and use. Premium is an optional upgrade, offered as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The current prices are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country.
- Billing. Payments are processed by Google Play or Apple’s App Store under their terms. We never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime means for as long as OathCoach offers the Premium features on your account.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies. If something went wrong, email us and we will help however we can.
- Restore purchases is always available in the app, so Premium follows you to a new phone when you sign in with the same store account.
If we change the price of a subscription, we will tell you in advance and the store will ask for your consent where required. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law.
Acceptable use
Please use the service for personal study. Do not:
- copy, resell or redistribute the app or our content, or scrape our server;
- try to bypass Premium, free limits, or security and rate limits;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the AI features to create harmful, illegal or abusive content;
- interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.
AI features
The AI officer interview uses an AI model to simulate a practice interview. AI responses can be wrong, incomplete or different from how a real USCIS officer would act. Use them for practice only. Do not enter sensitive personal information, such as your A-number or case details, into AI features. Fair-use limits may apply to keep the service affordable for everyone.
Our content
The app, its design, text, explanations, illustrations and code belong to OathCoach or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices while you follow these terms. Official U.S. government texts, such as the USCIS question list, are public and are not claimed by us.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve OathCoach without owing you anything.
Changes and availability
We keep improving OathCoach, so features may be added, changed or removed. The app works offline for studying, but sign-in, sync, updates and AI features need an internet connection. We aim for a reliable service but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
Ending your use
You can stop using OathCoach at any time and delete your account in the app under Profile › Account › Delete account, or on our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription, so please cancel it in Google Play or the App Store too.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and explain why.
Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the content is always complete or current. We do not guarantee that you will pass the naturalization test or interview.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, OathCoach is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you or any government agency make based on the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts. Before any formal dispute, please email us. Most problems can be solved quickly that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
